Privacy Policy — Hive Gmail Reader

Last updated: October 28, 2026

Hive Gmail Reader is a private, self-hosted tool run by Scott Pritten (AllTrailTrekkers). It is used only with Gmail accounts that Scott owns. It is not offered to the public.

What it accesses

With your permission, the app reads Gmail messages (read-only access) from the accounts you connect. It cannot send, delete or change email.

How the data is used

Messages are copied to a personal server Scott owns so he can search and organise his own mail. The data is not sold, not shared with third parties, not used for advertising and not used to train general-purpose AI models.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Hive Gmail Reader's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Storage and security

Data and access tokens are stored on a private server that is not reachable from the public internet.

Removing access

You can revoke the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To have copied data deleted, email the contact below.
